Made In Britain
There’s no doubting that there are many structures to consider when choosing the right celebration space for your outdoor wedding but nothing compares to the Wills Marquees canvas & timber pole tent. Aesthetically they’re outstanding but that is not all. Our luxury Wills canopies are British made using the finest materials sourced right here in the UK.
Dating back to the 1800’s, The British Millerain Co. began to develop fabrics which would suit a wide variety of clothing requirements, from the rigors of life in the armed forces to the demands of country pursuits. They are the original manufacturer of waxed cotton for outerwear and the world’s leading specialist in waxed cotton fabrics. Not only do they produce innovative textiles for British heritage brands such as Barbour, Hackett, Doc Martens and The North Face, they also manufacture the natural cotton canvas that is used to handcraft the Will’s Marquees structures.
Bright, light, airy and most importantly durable. Our British Millerain made cotton canvas is a cut above the plastic-posing-as-cloth textiles that you might find on the market. Made in the US from synthetic materials such as nylon, polyester and carbon fibre, the mass-produced modern sailcloth might be a cheaper option, but does lack in quality and finesse.
The British Millerain Co. HQ is situated in Lancashire, just short of a 2 hour car journey away from the Wills workshop in the heart of Yorkshire, thus reducing the carbon footprint of the production process. Wills passion for sustainability and their compassionate, low impact manufacturing system is yet another reason to love what they do!
Created using time-honored craftsmanship alongside modernized techniques and with British industry and craft at the heart of what they do, the Wills Marquees structures are so much more than just your average wedding reception space.
